Council Member Frank Ury was selected to serve as mayor and Council Member Lance MacLean as mayor pro tem, during the City Council’s annual reorganization Monday.

The mayor and mayor pro tem are selected by their colleagues to serve a one-year term.
This is the first mayoral stint for Ury, who was first elected to council in 2004 and re-elected in November. Ury has served this past year as mayor pro tem.

MacLean was first elected to the City Council in 2002 and was re-elected in 2006. He served as mayor in 2006 and mayor pro tem in 2005.

On Monday, Council Member Cathy Schlicht, who City voters elected in November, was officially sworn in along with Ury to begin their four-year terms.

The City Council also recognized outgoing Council Member Gail Reavis for her service to the City.
