New Medicare 2009, health plan options program Dec. 2
Representatives from local HMOs and HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program) will discuss 2009 Medicare plan changes on Dec. 2 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The program, which is from 1 to 3 p.m., will provide attendees with valuable information to help them make informed decisions before the Dec. 31 Open Enrollment deadline.

Free informative seminar about Medicare Advantage Plans Dec. 9
With the ever-changing and complex world of insurance plans, understanding coverage and options for HMOs, PPOs and such is essential.

In an effort to help educate residents who will be turning 65 this year or need to make plan changes, the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 will host a free seminar.

Participants will learn about the types of plans; comparing plans; advantages and disadvantages; their obligations; and how to get appropriate medical care and enrollment rules.
